Are we God(s)?

Synopsis: Many different religions, even within themselves, have issues with the idea of our relationship with God. Some believe humans are separate entities from God(s); they even need a spiritual leader to communicate with God. While others believe the average person is a fractal, or a part of God, hence being God themselves. In Freemasonry we are encouraged to work on our inner selves in order to improve humanity as a whole. By exploring the idea of humans being God(s) or part of God, we are taking a look at ourselves at a deeper level.

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest ... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
