Are there any true believers in Atheism?
Date: 10/25/2018 7:00:00 PM
Topic of Study: Theology
Presenter: Kale
Synopsis: Throughout our history as human beings we have been deeply rooted in the belief of a higher power. The idea of a God or a Creator is like an anchor to the vastness of the human mind and the experience of uncertainty which is inherent in living life. It is true for cultures and individuals across all time and places to share this phenomenon; a belief system. So what really is the fundamental belief of an atheist? In a broad sense, it is the rejection of belief in the existence of deities or a higher power. What is the fundamental belief system of Freemasonry? We shall dive deep into analysis of these questions and how it relates to the human experience.

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest ... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
