Should Energy Healing be a part of mainstream medical care?
Date: 3/9/2019 10:00:00 AM
Topic of Study: Natural Science
Presenter: Bro. Clarice Bauereus
Synopsis: What is Energy Healing? Is it real? Is there a logical scientific explanation why it works or doesn’t work? If healing really works why do we still have so much sickness in the world? Why are there so many modalities out there and which ones work and which ones don’t? How can we determine the charlatans from the real healers? Which modality is best for ourselves or our loved one who is suffering? Who can be a healer? Is healing a result of one’s desire? Wishful thinking? A gift from God? One’s imagination? Time for the condition to work it’s self out anyway? Witchcraft? Or just a big bunch woo woo? ? In Masonry some of our aims are to end misery and falsehood. Today we are going to explore some of these questions on energy healing.

Does the idea of a Holographic Universe prove ?
Date: 4/13/2019 10:00:00 AM
Topic of Study: Theology
Presenter: Bro. Diego
Synopsis: With the Copernican revolution we came to the realization that the earth is not at the center of the Universe, with the advent of Relativity Theory in the early 20th Century we realized that what we experience in time and space is not exactly what everyone else around us experiences.  When quantum physics went from theory to reality it forced us to admit that the world is not as mechanical and deterministic as Newtonian Physics had taught us.  A relatively new theory in Physics (from the 1990s), mostly due to discoveries in astrophysics, is the idea that the universe we experience is really a 4-Dimensional (3 space dimensions and one time dimension) hologram of a two-dimensional information field on the cosmological horizon.  If this theory proves to be true, how would this change our current belief systems?

Does Masonry share a deeper link with Catholicism?
Date: 6/8/2019 10:00:00 AM
Topic of Study: Theology
Presenter: Bro. Tom Simota
Synopsis: At times, the Catholic church has seemed to be at odds with Freemasonry, but is there a deeper link between the two that most people are not aware of? Who are the Templars and how are they connected? During our time together, we shall explore ideas to see if the Masonic Legend is more closely woven together with tenets of Catholicism. Perhaps we will discover together a "middle ground" that bears fruit to ponder for continued study.

Is Love a Language?
Date: 7/13/2019 10:00:00 AM
Topic of Study: Behavioral Science
Presenter: Bro. Pamela McDown
Synopsis: What’s love got to do with it? Many people struggle to find and maintain loving relationships in their lives. Perhaps part of the struggle is the use of the word love to mean so many different things in the English language. Perhaps another aspect of the difficulty is that we all love differently yet expect that others will both understand our overtures of love and know how to love us back in a way that we can understand. Gary Chapman’s book The Five Love Languages points out the importance of learning both our own as well as our partner’s love languages in order to have successful, loving relationships. While his ideas are geared primarily toward married couples, they can, and do, apply to any relationship dynamic. They can be especially helpful within a fraternal organization, such as Freemasonry, where understanding our Brothers and our neighbor is a key part of the experience.

Do Planets Make Music?
Date: 10/12/2019 10:00:00 AM
Topic of Study: Natural Science
Presenter: Bro. Pamela McDown
Synopsis: Synopsis: The epic space flights of the Voyager I and II soaring across our Solar System have left researchers on the edge of their seats for decades. Passing by Uranus, Jupiter and Saturn, the probes recorded various emissions and electromagnetic vibrations. NASA had the idea to make those into sound recordings. As it turns out those sounds are deeply familiar to the human ear. Is this just a coincidence or does the Universe have a soundtrack? Join us as we listen to music that is out of this world. Learn how the music of the spheres echoes the teachings of Freemasonry.

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest ... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
