Vibrational Healing: Is it the Medicine of the Future?
Date: 2/29/2020 1:00:00 PM
Topic of Study: Behavioral Science
Presenter: Bro. Pamela McDown
Synopsis: As the name indicates, Vibrational Healing refers to a category of practices in which sound waves from different sources are thought to heal people with various ailments, mental, and physical. Some believe that sound is something physical that can impact us through vibrations. Others say that there is no scientific instrument that has been able to detect subtle energy. Chanting with sound words like "om" or "aum" is found in many religious faiths and cultures. Does Sound Healing work or is it a mystical New Age-y concept that has no basis? How does sound vibration resonate with the philosophy of Freemasonry? Please join us for this interesting discussion.

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest ... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
